In line with the government's vision to create a generation of contributors in the field of science and technology, the National Science Centre has been mandated to build a science culture community
 

National Science Centre was officially opened on 29 November 1996 by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, YABhg. Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad.

Strategically located in a region of peace, harmony and surrounded by natural greenery of Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur. National Science Center building is a national landmark through its unique design and scientific. Building resembles a truncated cone at its peak and covered with a geodesic dome.

As an informal learning institution, the institution is expected to increase interest, appreciation and understanding of science and technology for the improvement of scientific Malaysians.

 
The exhibits are available at the National Science Centre consists of various themes that are divided according to specific categories. There are two key areas of Basic Science and Technology.

The entire concept of this center is to link science with religious values​​, environment, and other aspects of life, knowledge and its application in everyday life.

In 2006, the National Science Centre has been hailed as a new history with the establishment of its first branch in the Northern Territory. National Science Center construction project of the Northern Territory Branch was started in February 2005 in an area of ​​5 acre site in the Mount Keriang, Alor Setar, Kedah.

Designed based on the concept of building energy-saving, environment-friendly and dynamic exhibition space. Almost all layout work environments and interactive exhibition gallery this building fabricated by the National Science Centre staff.

With the existence of two science centers, more material can be designed and shared exhibitions to attract, stimulate and encourage visitors to take an active interest in science and technology.

To receive reduced entrance fee marked *, bookings need to be made earlier.
Bookings for school group must be made through school headmaster and need to accompanied by teacher.


There is no entrance fee for special person. The tickets can be purchased at the ticket counter which is located at the entrance gate.

Saturday to Thursday (9:00 am – 5:00 pm).
Closed on Friday.
Ticket counter closes at 4:30 pm.
Closure on public holidays will be notified from time to time.
